Democratic Central Committee News
The Central Committee is the
official body of the Democratic Party in Harford County. Central
Committee members are elected in the Democratic Primary in
gubernatorial election years (i.e., 2006, 2010).
Congratulations to our elected Democrats!
Congratulations to President Obama and the Democratic members of Congress, who are taking action to create jobs, get our economy moving again, and solve problems that just got worse through eight long years of Republican domination in Washington. Like finally doing something about soaring health insurance costs that have been a huge burden to our businesses, both small and large.
And congratulations to Governor O'Malley and the Democrats in the Maryland General Assembly, who are also taking action to create jobs, get our economy moving again, and solve inherited problems. The previous Republican governor talked about cutting the cost of government, but Governor O'Malley's budget is spending LESS than the budgets his predecessor proposed.
... and Special Congratulations to Frank Kratovil, our Congressman from Maryland's First District!
Frank Kratovil, waged an energetic, thorough, and thoughtful campaign, and succeeded in winning a very hard fought race for Congress in Maryland's First District. Frank is devoting the same hard work and energy into fighting for the interests of everyone in this diverse district -- which includes parts of Harford and Baltimore Counties and the entire Eastern Shore. We know that Frank's independent approach to solving problems is serving Maryland well.

Lt. Governor Anthony Brown in Harford County
Lt. Governor Anthony Brown joined enthusiastic Democrats for a festive breakfast on Monday, September 29, 2008 at the Richlin Ballroom. His speech was inspiring, the company was exhilarating, and everyone had a wonderful time.
Governor Martin O'Malley in Harford County
Governor Martin O'Malley designated September 13, 2007 as a special day for Harford County, naming Bel Air the state "capital for a day." He held a Cabinet meeting in Bel Air, and many of the cabinet Secretaries attended other events throughout Harford County. We were very happy that Governor O'Malley and Lt. Governor Brown started the day with a breakfast organized by the Harford County Democratic Central Committee. The breakfast and Governor O'Malley's remarks were enjoyed by over 200 people. He made us very proud to be Democrats and to have him as our Governor!
